Rootstocks of accession: Carrizo citrange, C-35 citrange
Season of ripeness at Riverside: January to March
Notes and observations: 12/1939, HJW: Selected as most typical and normal type of the sour orange. This in the rootstock experiment and elsewhere referred to as the Standard sour which becomes the variety name. Buds selected by Webber Mertz & Thomas.
12/24/1988, EMN: Fruit is a typical sour orange.
Availability: Not commercially available in California.
