Parentage/origins: Collected in Hunan, PR, China by Dr. H. Huang, collector's ID HU 5.

 

Rootstocks of accession: Carrizo citrange, C-35 citrange

 

Season of ripeness at Riverside: October to December

 

Notes and observations:

RRK: This vareity is said by the collector to have been reintroduced to PRC from Japan and rated 'good' for tree vigor and cold hardiness and 'very good' for fruit quality. The collector stated that this is named variety but that he could not translate the name into English. One of the 20 satsumas imported from PRC by Dr. W.A. Dozier, Dept. of Horticulture, Auburn University, and sent to CCPP for cleanup.

 

Availability: Commercially available in California through the Citrus Clonal Protection Program.
